Research Interests

My general research interests lie in the fields of evolutionary biology and genomics. I am familiar with the use of experimental methods of molecular biology and bioinformatics to answer questions about biological evolution. I also have rich research experience in integrated taxonomy. At present, my main research object is arthropod taxa.

Current research projects

The question of when and how the change of aquatic and terrestrial habits of animals evolved has always been concerned and discussed. The number of spider species is huge, but the aquatic spider group is rare, and the molecular mechanism of their aquatic adaptive evolution is still unclear. This project takes water spiders and intertidal spiders as research objects, and conducts an in-depth exploration of the aquatic adaptive evolution of spiders through the research methods of genomics and functional genomics.
